From 1994 to 2010, the total number of beam lines/experimental stations opened to the public users has increased from 4 to 23. During the year of 2010, the User Administration Office (UAO) handled 1,306 research proposals and 9,892 user runs, of which 22 research proposals and 127 user runs for nano research program. The total executed beam time, excluding beam line maintenance and study, for TLS and SPring-8 beam lines/experimental stations is 12,379 shifts (including 302 shifts for nano research program) and 900 shifts respectively. The UAO has issued 1,070 new user cards (including 836 new applications, 218 renewals, and 16 replacements for lost cards), 3,197 subventions for students/assistants/post docs, and 202 subventions (including 57 subventions for SP44XU experiments) for SPring-8 experiments. In addition, the UAO also handled 43 subventions, which are funded by the National Science Council, for Taiwan Neutron users to carry out experiments at Neutron facilities worldwide.

The number of users in 2010 is 2,230 (200 Principal Investigators) drawn from 241 affiliations (including 226 users from 61 foreign institutions) and there are 170 master degree students and 52 doctoral degree students being trained using NSRRC facilities during the year. At the end of 2010, the NSRRC user community has 3,161 active users, of which 290 are Principal Investigators. Operational data on beam lines/experimental stations and users are summarized in the following figures.
