1981	Dec.	Feasibility study began.

1983	Jul.	SRRC Board of Directors organized.
		SRRC Project approved by the government.
	Oct.	Planning and Construction Division formed.

1984	Aug.	User Training Division established.

1986	Mar.	Planning and Construction Division and User Training Division combined. Preparatory and Construction Office of SRRC established.

1993	Apr.	First beam stored in the storage ring.
	Oct.	Taiwan Light Source Dedication Ceremony.

1998	Dec.	SPring-8 Taiwan Beamlines Project started.

2000	Feb.	1.5 GeV full energy injection.

2001	Dec.	SPring-8 Taiwan Beamlines Project completed.

2003	May	SRRC reorganization into NSRRC.

2004	Jul.	The 3rd BOT approved the planning of the TPS project.
	Oct.	New Superconducting RF installed to replace Doris cavity.

2005	Oct.	Advancing to Top-up operation completed.
	Nov.	Synchrotron-based Protein Crystallography Facility Dedication Ceremony.

2006	Apr.	Launch of NSRRC's Educational Programs.

2007	Mar.	TPS project was approved by the Executive Yuan for a total budget of NT$6,885M from 2007 to 2013.
	Jun.	TPS project and its total budget was approved by Legislative Yuan.
